J & R Auto Body is locally owned and operated, we live, work, and play in Vista and are committed to giving back to the community. We are proud supporters of various nonprofits and organizations, including the Vista Chamber of Commerce, Vista Education Foundation, Rising Star Scholarship Program, The Vista Historical Society, The Vista Elks Lodge, Operation Hope, Las Valientes and The Miss & Teen Vista Scholarship Pageants.
One of our owners, Denisse Barragan, sits on the board of the directors for the Vista Chamber of Commerce, The Vista Education Foundation, and previously sat on the board for the California Autobody Association, San Diego Chapter.
Having grown up in Vista, Denisse is proud to have actively served in numerous leadership and volunteer positions, cherishing the opportunity to build relationships and offer her assistance by generously sharing her time, knowledge, and resources. In recognition of her dedication, Denisse was honored with the 2023 Businessperson of the Year award, as well as a Community Involvement award from 1Collision for her service to the community. She was even the original Vista Strawberry Festival Queen when the City of Vista initiated the festival back in 2010!
Her commitment to the Vista Community is so great, she is running for City Council in 2024!
